Eating Disorder

Unfortunately, no one still wants to know the full picture to help my stepson. The therapist never asked for the summary to really understand where and why my stepson is the way he is currently.  It’s almost as if people just want to hear what they want to hear.

And though the therapist doesn’t’ want the summary, I can say that she brought up a concerning matter. To say my stepson is thriving in his mother’s care is an understatement. We found out he now has an eating disorder.

What is interesting is when he didn’t want to eat in our care it was considered child abuse, but in his mom’s care, it’s just he doesn’t feel like eating.

According to my stepson’s mom, he’ll sometimes skip all meals, or sometimes skip breakfast and lunch, but have dinner. However, he would then purge after anything he ate.

If it wasn’t for the therapist finding this out, we might never have known since it was going on shortly after school ended for the year. But that really isn’t surprising. Mainly because she needs to keep the appearance up with looking like the better parent and that everything is going great in her care as she has always stated.

The more my stepson confessed to the things he was doing with his eating habits, the more the therapists actually grew weary. Especially when he had lost around 20lbs by that point.

The therapists are now looking to put his in a facility to get the help he needs with his eating disorder. If this is the case, and he does go, he at least won’t be in his mother’s care for about a month.

We will see in the coming weeks if he does end up going.

As many of you know, I’ve been trying to work on a complaint against my stepson’s G.A.L. since she submitted her hours to the court back in April. With all the evidence she refused to look at, there is a lot to organize and go through before sending. I thought the text my stepson sent to his PopPop was the tipping point for really pushing to get this complaint out to the American Bar Association, however, this is now the tipping point. I will open up my WORD document and continue to work through getting this complaint down so I can send it out by the end of this month.
